City of God is getting a spin-off to celebrate its 20th anniversary

the city of god, one of the greatest films of Brazilian cinema, received a spin-off to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The short film is produced by Fernando Meirelles and is the result of the partnership between Vivo and Motorola.

Title of Buscapethe film shows the return of the character embodied by Alexandre Rodrigues as a professional photojournalist who will be covering a community event, but her plans have been changed.

With international recognition, the city of god it had 4 Oscar nominations in 2004, including Best Director, Adapted Screenplay, Editing and Cinematography. The film also won the BAFTA Awards for Best Editing and the Writers Guild of America for Screenplay.
