Kylian Mbappé was one of France’s highlights on Thursday night. The PSG striker paved the way to victory against Austria (2-0), which allowed the French to fight for their survival in Division A of the League of Nations.
Asked why performances are going better with France than at the club, Mbappé seems to have left a message for Christophe Galtier, the Parisians’ coach.
“It’s different here, they ask me to do something other than the club, I have more freedom. The picker has a spearhead like Giroud who occupies the defenders and I can take advantage of the space that generates. In Paris I don’t have that, I’m often asked to be a pivot. It’s different,” he said in the mixed zone.
