THE netflix published this Thursday (22) the first official trailer for That 90’s Show🇧🇷 The spin-off preview features the return of the original cast of That 70’s Show (1998-2006) and their new “updated” looks for the 1990s.
The video introduces a new generation and brings back the period characters from the original sitcom. In brief sequences, the trailer shows the returns of Ashton Kutcher (Kelson), Mila Kunis (Jackie), Topher Grace (Eric), Laura Prepon (Donna), Wilmer Valderrama (Fez) and Tommy Chong (Leo). The exception is Danny Masterson (Steven Hyde), who fell out of favor after facing rape allegations and was kicked out of the spinoff.
The spinoff cast will include Callie Haverda (Shut Eye), Ashley Aufderheide (Emergence), Mace Coronel (Colin in Black and White), Maxwell Acee Donovan (Gabby Duran: Babysitter of Aliens), Reyn Doi (Side Hustle) and the rookie Sam Morelos. From the original series, Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman) and Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman) are confirmed as regulars to reprise their roles as Red and Kitty, respectively.
The plot of That 90’s Show will begin in 1995 and will show Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, visiting the house of her grandparents (Red and Kitty) for the summer. Back in Point Place, the young woman will connect with a new generation of teenagers.
This ’70s show ran for 200 episodes over eight seasons. According to Mila Kunis, the Netflix spin-off attraction will change the ending of the original series and will show some changes involving the main characters.
This ’90s show will premiere on Netflix on January 19. Watch the trailer below:
